Hedgehog Corner is situated just over one mile from River Cottage HQ and just over 2 miles from Lyme Regis. It’s set in a convenient location for driving and public transport.
The nearby bus stop (Number 31) goes from Axminster Train station via Hedgehog Corner at the local Hunters Lodge Inn and then on into Lyme Regis.
Axminster railway station has an hourly service to London Waterloo. Book taxi to meet you as no taxi rank at railway station - numbers given with useful information sent with booking confirmation.
If coming by bus that drops off at nearby Hunters Lodge Inn please note there is no pavement or street lighting between B&B and bus stop.
** Please note we are on the Lyme Road on the B3165 which is on the section nearest Lyme Regis - just below the Hunters Lodge Pub on the road to Lyme, first house on the left about 400 yards below the pub, up a long drive set behind some trees.

By train from London: Waterloo to Axminster, 2 hours 45 minutes. Take the local No. 31 bus from Axminster station or 5 minutes by taxi (book in advance).
By car from London: M3>M27>A27>A31>A35>B3165 approx 3 hour journey (*summer/Fridays can be more)

For Evening Events at River Cottage HQ
We recommend Floyds on 01297 560733. They have a mini bus and if several from the camping field and our B&B are travelling to the same event at the HQ then you travel together and share the cost pro rata per couple i.e. 2 = £24, 4 = £30, 6 = £35 8 = £40. You won't know till the evening how many are also sharing from our site until you meet the taxi. Please book taxi in advance and ensure you are happy with the fare.
Mr. Floyd picks up from our B&B front door and is always on time - we won't be able to search the field looking for you so please be prompt.
